Management

Fadi K. Assaf is the cofounder of Middle East Strategic Perspectives and the founder and CEO of Support Consultant Offshore SARL [SCO] and Support MESP.

He specializes in international affairs, economics, defense and security, with a focus on the MENA Region. His clients are among the leaders in their sectors: defense, aeronautics, energy, pharmaceutics, strategic intelligence. He also works for governmental institutions and NGOs.

He served as Head of Research and Studies at the Lebanese Presidency’s General Directorate and as an Advisor to the President and to the Government of Lebanon.

Fadi K. Assaf holds a Ph.D in Political Science with a focus on the Arab-Persian Gulf (Defense and Security), a Higher Studies Diploma (DESS) in National Defense, and a M.A. in Economics. Dr. Assaf attended the (58th) National Session of the Institute of Higher National Defense Studies [www.ihedn.fr].

He is the recipient of several honors and awards. He was awarded the National Order of the Cedar (Lebanon) and the National Order of Merit (France).

Mona E. Sukkarieh is a political risk consultant and cofounder of Middle East Strategic Perspectives.

She heads the Energy unit at MESP, focusing on energy geopolitics and the emerging oil and gas sector in Lebanon and the countries bordering the Eastern part of the Mediterranean.

She advises a variety of governmental institutions on energy-related matters, international companies interested in the oil and gas sector in Lebanon and in the Eastern Mediterranean, and international organizations providing assistance to Lebanon in managing its nascent sector.

Previously, she worked with various international organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme and the State University of New York’s Center for International Development, on governance-related projects in the Arab world.

She holds a PhD degree in International Relations. Her dissertation focused on anticipation in the management of the oil and gas sector in Israel, Cyprus and Lebanon.
